Service Description

Sometimes a guide is not quite enough. You have read the PDF, watched the video, tried the settings, and something is still not clicking. Maybe you cannot find the menu. Maybe your photos still do not look the way you want. Maybe you are shooting a specific kind of thing and need help thinking through it out loud with someone who has done it a hundred times. A 1:1 session is 60 minutes of focused help, one-on-one with me, tailored entirely to your camera and your goals. We meet on Zoom, you have your camera in your hand, and we work through your setup, your questions, and your recent photos together. It is the closest thing to having me sit next to you at your kitchen table and figure it out. What we can cover: Setting up your camera from scratch: film simulations, colour, white balance shifts, dynamic range, custom banks Building or refining a recipe for the look you want Reviewing your recent photos and diagnosing what is or is not working Talking through a specific shooting scenario (portraits, travel, low light, golden hour, indoor party) Q&A on anything I have covered in my guides, applied specifically to your camera Advice on gear, workflow, or content ideas if that is what you need Which cameras I can help with: Fujifilm X100VI, X-E5 Sony ZV-1, RX100 VII These are the cameras I actually shoot and know intimately. If you shoot something else, general concepts still apply, but I would not be able to walk you through model-specific menus. If unsure, send me a message before booking. What this is not: A general photography lesson from the ground up A video tutorial session (I focus on photography) Post-processing or editing help (I shoot mostly straight out of camera) Camera buying advice (that is my separate Camera Recommendation Service) Technical repair or firmware troubleshooting How it works: You book a time slot. You fill out a short pre-session form (camera, goals, what you are stuck on, optional photo uploads). I spend twenty minutes reviewing your form and preparing focused notes. We meet on Zoom for 60 minutes. I send a written recap within 48 hours with the specific settings we landed on. Who this is for: Someone who has read a guide but wants personalized help applying it Someone with a specific goal (a trip coming up, a new camera, a look they cannot crack) Someone who learns best in conversation, live, with real-time feedback Session details: 60 minutes live on Zoom One person per session Pre-session form Written Recap
